i love fall because...

this roll has been sitting on my desk for months now and i finally went and had it developed. 

i am post dating this. because reasons. because all were taken B.P.

i want to say that fall is my favorite season but i dont know if that would be completely accurate. 

i am in love with every season for their own purpose. 

i am going to make a list... 

i love fall because: 

| cooler temperatures 

 | scarves and boots and flannels 

| the color change, the leaves falling, and crunchy noise when you walk 

| hot beverages to warm your soul

| back to school supplies

12. having two weddings in one weekend, and a family shoot! 

13. counting down to a maddie visit!! {taco bell fasting}

14. finding a working record player at an estate sale the same week you have a melt down over one from grandmas basement that doesnt work

   14b. listening to favorite records on said record player. yes. 

15. sleep over plans with my favorite girl 

16. this weather. i can not get enough of the weather lately. makes me all kinds of excited for autumn

I get weirdly excited about frozen yogurt. ask maddie.

I feel overwhelmed with gratitude when my mom will still lay with me when i wake up from a not so pleasant dream. i am 24 going on 3 years old

I can't stop thinking about that not so pleasant dream i had last night. what is it about dreams that keep you wondering? 

I just want to eat a slurpee. yes. a slurpee. you can eat them. they dont have a spoon on the end of the straw for no reason. 

I am kinda a bad person and took a sticker that is meant for kids on my way out of the dr. office this morning. dont judge me, it was a bieber sticker. i dare you to say no to that hair.

I wish I could dye my hair some kind of fun color, just for a few days

I just don't understand the allure of sushi. or any seafood for that matter {even though i did actually try fish on monday after tim caught it.}

I can't believe how close I am to seeing madeleine and erica and kale {all in the same week!!}

I strongly consider spending a lot of money on a dream camera bag and lens

sometimes..

It's hard for me to stop doing something i adore, i.e. blogging. anything else online that i find absolutely addicting. {also add things i dont adore to that list to.. im not good at giving up}

I'm reminded of how much I love my friends. all of them. every last drop of them. and especially when they pose on their own initiative in a mirror with me {eh em alexa rae}

I feel self-conscious when i walk in to every drug store and 7-11 near my house asking if they have the new Vogue. because Taylor is on it and she looks flawless. 

"yeah, i know about the Meryl Streep one...yes she is a wonderful actress... no i dont remember seeing that movie she was in set in Africa" is what i had to say at one store.. 

I am mildly dishonest when i say 'i'm fine' everyone knows that means youre not. why do we bother with those two words? they should be curse words. 

I can't imagine a world without shuffle. and stamps. and skype. the letter S.  

I'm surprised that I still am anxious when i start a new journal, or right before i post a new post

I get a little too easily wrapped up in making sure things are perfect. things dont have to be perfect. at least not all the time..  

I indulge in guilty pleasures like right now, blogging. becasue i was supposed to be on a break.

ten things i love about december 2011

its december. so what if its cold and yet... no snow {why you no snow, december?!?!}. so what if my car hates me {its true. it really hates me}. here are things that make me happy this month:

one. this video, which was recently shared by ingrid michaelson - its not an original ingrid song, but its so so so good.

two. my ever talented cousin, brooklyn has been painting so much lately {reason 1,209 why i love instagram - i get to see them all!} but isnt that just perfect? want some art for your walls??! i know you do.. click this! 

three. i saw this photo and went by it quickly, and then i instantly went back to it and stared at it for a good 5 minutes. its a perfect use of a wall!

i will be honest, i am a little jealous of the collection they have of dvds - is that seinfeld i see? 

four. this video - its really good. maybe i have loved the song forever so it wins me over? its genuinely good. and really neat to watch. its worth the 9 minutes of your time {promise}

five. my newest owl: he is perfect. he is wearing a sweater!

six. this makes me think of my smart friends. the ones who corrected me this year on this. and now im a snob about it too. thanks a lot! and i can't be the only one who thinks this resembles zac morris... can i?

an "i am happy" list:

some days its easy to be happy, some days its not so easy. 

here are the things that i am so so so happy about today: 

i am happy that elijah is as passionate as i am. i am happy that we can both be right about something when we are actually both probably incredibly wrong. i am happy he calls me out, even when im not happy about it. i am happy hes my best friend. 

i am happy that madeleine is on her way to michigan {as we speak} i am happy that we still make the same jokes about things. but right now i am mainly happy that i get to see her this weekend. 

i am happy that i pick kale up tomorrow. i am happy that we get to have as many slurpees as we want this weekend. i am happy that we can {attempt to} finish our movie list!

i am happy i have seen this photo! i mean, really. awesome?!

i am happy that i get to watch taylor swifts tour whenever, where ever i want. 

i am happy that i have watched it three times since monday. 

i am happy that i am going to watch it again tonight with my mom {she doesnt know this yet.. but she should be expecting it...}

i am happy that i own footy pajamas. i am happy that my sister has the exact same ones as i do. 

i am happy i cut 4 inches off my hair. i am happy i didnt go dark. 

i am happy that i am seeing city and colour on friday night. i am happy they are sad. all of the time. 

i am happy that i leave for the virgin islands in 8 days. i am happy to see the water. i am happy to see the colors. i am happy i get to do the one thing that makes me incredibly happy. and i get to do it somewhere beautiful.

i am happy i didnt listen to the people who tried to tell me i wasnt good enough. 

i am happy for the people who believe in me and encourage me.

two. i don't get along well with alarm clocks. its not even a 'love/hate' relationship.

three. ive had a pile of old t-shirts to make in to a quilt for 5 years. still no quilt.

four. billie holiday often comes on shuffle and i don't turn it.

five. i like cleaning. far too much. i blame my mother.

six. speaking of my mom, my mom is the best woman i know. she will drop anything to help you.

seven. i have some kind of undeniable weakness for owls - and bracelets - and videos like this and this and this {you now think im weird}

eight. if given the choice, i would stay home in pjs for eternity

nine. stickers. an easy way to make me happy. any kind.

ten. my favorite person is a 5 year old who hugs me the second she sees me and asks me to look up photographs of owls and says that my song is "mine" by taylor swift

reasons: i love fall

{warning: i like shoes, or at the very least - pictures of shoes - and instagram}

1. flannel. and windows down

2. loud, crunchy, red leaves

3. apples. apples. apples. APPLES.

4. hot chocolate with whipped cream!

5. cedar point w/ hats on. {w/o looking crazy}

6. cider mills with lots of animals to kiss

7. rain. with scarves and jackets

8. no more flip flops. favorite jeans!

9. cinnamon donuts - durrr!

10. slippers on your lazy days

for me, fall always is easiest to remember for lots of reasons - it always comes at the perfect time. right when you are tired of sweating and kids are awaiting the new school year {which means new school supplies and teachers and different stories and new homework assignments to 'forget' about} 

its also the final months of my age and i do love to make lists of things to accomplish and things to forget. but good things happen in fall. things are realized and hopes are made. i would say its where dreams come true.. 

but disney already kinda stole that from me. buggers!
