winter blues: pt. 2

i promised, and so here we are.

here is my "even though you hate winter it can be pretty if you look close enough" film.

{it made my day last week when i woke up and heard birds outside my window though...}

or just a couch with lots of blankets and second season of Parks and Rec.

that will realistically end up being two inches of mushy snow. 

winter blues pt. 1

i love winter, despite its cold bitter mornings and early nights. 

ive felt like we {aka the people of the metro-detroit area} missed out on a winter last year and i am appreciating this one for everything it offers. which so far offers some exciting snowfalls and a few sunshiny days.
that being said...i cant remember the last time i have constantly been this cold. 

but again, i am appreciating it for what it is. 

i live in a state that people love to hate. 

its easy to find ways to complain when your knuckles bleed just walking to your car. 

which by the way, is also freezing.
the water bottle you forgot in there the night before? thaw it out.
bad driving conditions and icy steps really like to get you down. 

the dry skin and cracked lips are a problem 

{maybe i need to invest in better lotion and chapstick...}

but i also live in the state that i never want to leave because it holds some of my absolute favorite people. it holds my fiance and my family and my super cool friends. its home of faygo pop, better made potato chips, little caesars. hello cheap and delicious dinner plans. 

i have a very complex preference in food...

really, though, the whole point of this was pretty much to get my fingers moving and to tell you that im going to take a roll of film to prove that the winter in michigan offers so many things that if we dont stop to think about, we will just mumble and complain under our scarves and into our mittens.

so stay posted.

but i love him even more for that. 

{we cant be that crazy couple who BOTH love winter equally as much!}
