my weekend was full of it

great and not great and everything in between

i met for dinner tonight that lasted hours just talking about it! 

lets just say i have been on cloud 9 before, 

this was cloud 12!!!

have i told you how much i love my people lately?!!? 

i feel like i dont do it enough...

few emails make me happier than one from the airlines confirming your flight that you just purchased so you can finally see your best friend again. 

actually i am sitting here wondering what email would beat that and i dont know if it is possible. maybe one saying "thank you for purchasing your ticket to atlanta, georgia. we appreciate you so much we are going to pay for it ourselves."

dream big. 

at any rate. what is it? 43 days!? thats like one dad at a miley cyrus concert maddie! 

{funny thing about this photo, is they did catch me going 80... remember that one time i got a speeding ticket maddie and you didnt?! no? well i do. my wallet has never been the same}

i had a great day today getting reacquainted with iMovie

its like seeing an old friend for the first time 

inevitably there is a lot to catch up on

we went to the beach

i know. its still "summer" but let me tell you, what makes summer so effortlessly summer.. is gone
{this is where maddie will say 'its still summer in georgia!!!"}

but this just means it is expected that we drink lots of hot cider and eat lots of cinnamon donuts and apples and wear slippers and scarves and really {i mean realllllly} those are all things i live for. 

i want to share some of my favorite moments i had this summer

because each summer that passes manages to be better than the last

that is all i could ask for

maddie. i wish i were literally with you when i saw it. because you would have remembered to bring the tissues {and the twizzlers}. thanks for making me read finish the book. literally.

reasons: i love fall

{warning: i like shoes, or at the very least - pictures of shoes - and instagram}

1. flannel. and windows down

2. loud, crunchy, red leaves

3. apples. apples. apples. APPLES.

4. hot chocolate with whipped cream!

5. cedar point w/ hats on. {w/o looking crazy}

6. cider mills with lots of animals to kiss

7. rain. with scarves and jackets

8. no more flip flops. favorite jeans!

9. cinnamon donuts - durrr!

10. slippers on your lazy days

for me, fall always is easiest to remember for lots of reasons - it always comes at the perfect time. right when you are tired of sweating and kids are awaiting the new school year {which means new school supplies and teachers and different stories and new homework assignments to 'forget' about} 

its also the final months of my age and i do love to make lists of things to accomplish and things to forget. but good things happen in fall. things are realized and hopes are made. i would say its where dreams come true.. 

but disney already kinda stole that from me. buggers! 

truth is...

if i were with maddie tonight, i would have watched anything she would like. and i would stay awake for it all. and i would refrain from making jokes...  

tomorrow. i look at plane tickets so i can stop complaining about missing her so much.
