welcome back

I changed the URL - now that I have been on my new site for a year now, I have come to realize that I have really missed blogging for fun. I used to live on this space and I want to come back. Not everyday, or even every week or month. Just when ever I feel like it. I had a once a day journal for when we got married, I was good with it for a few months and even that got to be challenging. Its been months since I have filled that out. I don't journal anymore, behind me I have all my previous books filled with words I will never read, but that is how I like it.

I have this place though. I read this place, often. I come back here and see all the posts I've made with my friends and muses. So I am going to bring it back. I have never had an issue with sharing my life with this place, or any place for that matter.

(I am laughing at how rusty I am at writing, personally. So please bear with me.)

A lot has happened since I last posted here. I don't even know where to begin to explain. For now, I will leave you with a few photos from recent. Ill think of a better post next time.

I am going to be blogging a bit and back dating them. So far be sure to check out:

Chicago 2014 (according to iPhone)

I am a little bit surprised I never got around to adding our Chicago trip over to my other blog. I figured I might as well share them here. This way, I wont feel too bad about how many selfies I am about to share. Also, there is a lot of words.

It started with an idea to take the train! I had never taken the train, anywhere, and neither had Patrick. We were both super excited to not have to drive there ourselves and to worry about parking downtown. That idea was destroyed when Amtrak never sent the train Sunday night and left 20+ passengers stranded, telling everyone that we can not be refunded. However, after a whole night of trying to talk with Amtrak, they reluctantly gave us a refund (that I am still waiting on..) and we decided to just leave Monday morning, and drive ourselves.

our first home.

in the middle of the street.

we rent a cute and tiny house in ferndale and it is pretty great.
i thought i would take photos of it. to share but also selfishly. i have always photographed my rooms because i change them around and paint often, i like to have documentaion of what they used to look like! its fun to have!

i should note that we didn't paint any of the rooms. the color was neutral enough and for just renting, i didn't know how much fun it would be to have to repaint the walls back when we were to move out.

honeymoon: Saugatuck, MI

here are some of our honeymoon photos {from the iPhone of course!}

i was really looking forward to this trip with patrick. but i will say that it exceeded my expectations. it was so perfect. now that we have been home and back in to the routine of our normal life now, i miss it so terribly much. it was so nice to be so disconnected from the rest of the world and only have patrick to talk to and laugh with and be with. it was amazing how comfortable it all felt. we did so much and we ate the most delicious food.

it was so relaxing to just be able to do what we wanted, when we wanted. we didnt have a schedule or itinerary to keep to. we didnt have to leave the house or go back to the house unless we wanted.

i want to go back. right now. if not right now, then at least tomorrow.

i highly recommend a honeymoon like this to anyone who is getting married. it doesnt matter where you are as long as you are with the person of your dreams.

check out the photos i took from downtown holland here

love.
