you should know by now that i love lists. i have lists of songs i love, people i want to meet, cities to visit and i have a list of my favorite places. this home is on the list of favorite places to be. maybe it has something to do with the three little {or not so little, anymore} kids running around or the worlds greatest dog {thats right Roxy.. GREATEST} it could be the chicken coop or the perfect size pond {perfect for swimming or ice skating} or maybe its the sense of 'home' i feel when I spend any amount of time here. at any rate, this is it:

the 'adult' in charge, but really its just a party.

found this on a fellow bloggers blog this morning and i wasn't expecting to enjoy it so much - but i did. and i wanted to share it with you guys, who ever you are. this is a group of 3 guys* and they traveled to 11 countries in 44 days - something i could only dream of - here are the videos created:

here are my favorite photos from yesterday with alexa 

at least the ones that aren't embarrassing or incriminating 

if you are my friend, i may... just may show the rest of what i am talking about 

{if you ask nicely}

then we do what we do best which is eat arabic food and if you are from michigan {which i assume most are} then you have had arabic food at least once {right?!} 

but if you haven't, i suggest you ask around in your area and find the BEST one and go there

but first there are rules: 

1. Don't go alone, unless you don't plan on seeing or talking to anyone new in the next 48 hours {you. will. thank. me}

2. Don't not get too excited about the bread before your meal, like myself...

3. Do order garlic speed.. even if it isn't free {i feel personally offended when and if it is NOT free, but its an area you shouldn't be cheap about}

4. Don't be too crazy and order raw kibbeh or anything {personally you can't go wrong with chicken and hummus}

5. Take. The. Mints. Even if you don't like mints. Take them. 

doggy bags are your best friend at La Saj 

only glitch in this whole idea is that no one will be your friend the next day

and don't eat your left overs in a closed room...

excuse me while i look at this face* until the wee hours of the morning, listening to death cab for cutie. i just spent the past 6 hours with this girl and i was reminded how amazingly beautiful she is. alexa, i love you. for your laugh and for your {sometimes crazy, always fun} ideas and for your faith in me. i want you to know that no matter what, at the end of the day you are the one i want to be dancing in baggy jeans, with bandana on our heads with. {my wardrobe will never be the same}

weekend update:

my weekend really started on thursday with Kale:
